Erie Man Sentenced to Five Years in Prison for Selling Crack Cocaine
United States Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan announced today, June 23, 2009, that Marvin T. Jones, a resident of Erie, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Erie to 60 months in jail on his conviction of violating federal drug laws.
United States District Judge Sean J. McLaughlin imposed the sentence on Jones, age 41.
According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Marshall J. Piccinini, Jones distributed approximately one half ounce of crack cocaine from a residence in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Buchanan commended the EAGLE task force, which is comprised of members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Erie Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Jones.
