Morgantown Resident Enters Guilty Plea to Cocaine Charge
CLARKSBURG, WV— A 32 year old Morgantown, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on April 29, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that ROBERT E. MCCLAIN entered a plea of guilty to an Information charging him with unlawfully possessing more than five grams of cocaine base with the intent to distribute at his residence in Morgantown on August 5, 2008.
MCCLAIN, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of five to 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
