United States Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan announced today, May 1, 2009, that Randy Ray McNair, a resident of Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Erie to fifteen months in jail on his conviction of attempting to transfer obscene material to a minor.

United States District Judge Sean J. McLaughlin imposed the sentence on McNair, age 31.
According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Christian A. Trabold, McNair attempted to transfer obscene material to an individual who was under the age of sixteen.

Ms. Buchanan commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Upper Saucon Township Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of McNair.
