United States Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan announced today, June 3, 2008, that Braheem Huger, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Johnstown to 46 months imprisonment and five years supervised release on his conviction of violating federal narcotics laws. United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed sentence on Huger, age 21. According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie L. Haines, from May 4, 2004, to December 6, 2005, Huger conspired with other co-defendants to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of cocaine base and more than 500 grams of cocaine, and on October 2, 2006, Huger possessed with intent to distribute 5 grams or more of cocaine base. Ms. Buchanan commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Laurel Highlands Resident Agency, the Cambria County Drug Task Force, and the Johnstown Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecutions of Huger.
