United States Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan announced today, May 9, 2008, that Brian Lee Nestor, a resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to 10 years imprisonment, to be followed by 10 years of supervised release, on his conviction of coercion and enticement. Chief United States District Judge Donetta W. Ambrose imposed the sentence on Nestor, age 44. According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorneys Bruce J. Teitelbaum and Kay B. Lee, from on or about September 9, 2007 to on or about September 14, 2007, Nestor used facilities and means of interstate and foreign commerce, specifically a computer, the internet and the telephone, to knowingly attempt to persuade, induce, entice, and coerce a minor to engage in sexual activity. Ms. Buchanan commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Nestor.
